November to February is ideal with cool weather (15-25°C). The rainy season (June-October) means fewer crowds and lush green scenery. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends.
Comfortable walking shoes for park trails, light layers (it's cooler than Bangkok), sunscreen, insect repellent, and a camera. Bring Thai Baht cash for park entrance fees (400 THB for foreigners).
PB Valley and GranMonte offer tours and tastings (booking recommended for weekends). Best visited in the afternoon. Some tours include lunch with stunning vineyard views.
Park opens 6AM-6PM. Start early to see wildlife (elephants, gibbons). The Haew Narok waterfall trail takes 2-3 hours. Hire a park guide for wildlife spotting (available at visitor center).
Primo Piazza and Palio are best for photos in the morning (soft light, fewer people). Both have cafes and restaurants. Entry fees are around 100-200 THB.
Only open December-January! Beautiful flower fields and Thai silk products. It's about 30 minutes from Khao Yai. Check opening dates before planning your trip.
